Stay.
From the moment we arrived at The Colonnade Hotel in Back Bay, Boston, we were made to feel very welcome. The service was impeccable and friendly from complimentary umbrella usage to 20% off restaurant vouchers. Unfortunately, due to inclement weather, we didn’t get to use the roof-top pool but the room was very comfortable (especially because we were upgraded for free).

Play.
We me our friends near the delightfully cobblestoned Quincy Market in the old town part of Boston. We had planned to meet at Christopher Columbus Park which had 4th of July festivities happening but… weather. Evenually, we migrated down to the harborside which was beautful, even on a rainy afternoon.

Eat.
When you’re choosing to eat dinner in Boston’s North End, you need to arrive early. Even though we arrived at Giacomo’s around 5pm (in the Summer), we still needed to line-up (albeit, the line up when we were departing was much worse). Also, most places in the North End are cash only so come prepared.
Giacomo’s was delicious and great value ($50 usd for 4 of us incuding beverages) a the service was friendly and fun.
Afterwards, we skipped the traditional Mike’s Pastry (the line was around the corner) for a simple gelato - and we were satisfied.
